The Special Something

Chapter 10:

Raoul is told by Boima that the monkey's name is "Beauty" and that she is not for sale.  Raoul is persistent and has his father step in.  Mr. Sulliman knows Boima and Bendu are poor farmers.  He offers them $10 for their Beauty.  The twins swallow hard and refuse the money.  Raoul whispers in his father's ear. He has  Mr. Sulliman add his generous week's allowance to the $10.  Mr. Sulliman puts $30 in Boima's hand--more money than either twin had ever seen.  The twins struggle with this for a moment, but after looking at each other for a second,  return the money to Raoul.  "Beauty is our special-something, we can't sell her."
